Latvia is ready to participate in the transportation of Ukrainian grain through its railway from autumn.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Railway, Rinalds Pliavnieks.
According to him, the technical base already allows 500,000 to 1 million tons of grain to be transported through them per year.
At the same time, Plävnieks admitted that he had previously been skeptical about the ability of their railway to transport grain on an industrial scale.
