VEGOILS-Palm touches one-month low as rival oils decline
KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Thursday for a fifth straight session, hitting their lowest in a month as the benchmark contract tracked losses in rival edible oils.
The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for July delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange slid 44 ringgit, or 1.23%, to 3,526 ringgit ($791.47) a tonne during early trade, its lowest since March 27.
The vegetable oil is also on course for its longest losing streak in one month.
FUNDAMENTALS
Indonesia plans to set its crude palm oil reference price at $955.53 per tonne for May 1 to May 15, up from $932.69 during last two weeks of April, senior economic ministry official Musdhalifah Machmud said on Wednesday.
Dalian's most-active soyoil contract DBYcv1 fell 0.1%, while its palm oil contract DCPcv1 eased 1.1%. Soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade BOcv1 were down 0.3%.
Palm oil is affected by price movements in related oils as they compete for a share in the global vegetable oils market.

VEGOILS-Palm oil falls for fourth session on weak rivals, poor exports
KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures eased for a fourth consecutive session on Wednesday, trading near a nine-day low hit in the previous session, weighed by weak exports and rival oil prices.
The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for July delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange slid 22 ringgit, or 0.61%, to 3,613 ringgit ($810.27) during early trade.
FUNDAMENTALS
Export shipments from Malaysia during April 1-25 fell 18.4% from a month earlier, independent inspection firm AmSpec Agri Malaysia reported on Tuesday. Another cargo surveyor, Intertek Testing Services, said exports declined by 14%.
Dalian's most-active soyoil contract DBYcv1 gained 0.3%, while its palm oil contract DCPcv1 rose 0.11%. Soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade BOcv1 were up 0.5%.

The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for June delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose 0.75% to 3,741 ringgit ($853.52) per tonne, after shedding 4.62% in the last two sessions.
Palm has lost 1.40% so far this week.
FUNDAMENTALS
Dalian's most-active soyoil contract DBYc1 rose 0.98%, while its palm oil contract DCPc2 was up 0.91%. Soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade BOc2 were barely changed.
Palm oil is affected by price movements in related oils as they compete for a share in the global vegetable oils market.
Traders were monitoring exports after cargo surveyor data earlier this week showed shipments of Malaysian palm oil products for April 1-10 fell between 16.2% and 35.6% from a month earlier.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures rose for a second session on Tuesday after lower-than-expected March inventories, although weak exports in April so far capped gains.

Palm oil may keep bouncing to 3,910 ringgit per tonne, a break above which could open the way towards 3,980 ringgit, Reuters technical analyst Wang Tao said.

The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for June delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange gained 11 ringgit, or 0.29%, to 3,848 ringgit ($871.57) a tonne during early trade.

VEGOILS-Palm oil slips for third session ahead of MPOB data
KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures eased on Friday, extending a two-day decline ahead of key data, although the contract is set for a weekly rise buoyed by expectations of tightening supply.
The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for June delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange eased 2 ringgit, or 0.05%, to 3,821 ringgit ($868.41) a tonne during early trade.
For the week, palm has risen 1.5% so far, advancing for a second consecutive week.
FUNDAMENTALS
Investors are awaiting Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) data due on Monday to determine further price direction.
A Reuters' survey ahead of MPOB data forecast Malaysia's palm oil inventories tumbling to an eight-month low of 1.77 million tonnes at end-March, as exports soared ahead of the month of Ramadan.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures gained ground on Tuesday and remained within touching distance of a two-week peak reached in the previous session following a surge in crude prices.
The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for June delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange gained 26 ringgit, or 0.67%, to 3,910 ringgit ($887.22) a tonne during early trade.
The contract jumped 3.3% on Monday, tracking a spike in crude prices after the OPEC+ group jolted markets with plans to cut more production.
